HIPP HA Combiotic Pre Infant Formula is specially adapted to the nutritional needs of your newborn baby and supports its healthy development. It is suitable as a sole food or for feeding in addition to Breast milk. HA stands for “hypo-allergenic”. It is especially beneficial for babies at risk of allergies.
What is so special about HiPP PRE HA COMBIOTIK®?
Thanks to low-allergen protein, HiPP PRE HA COMBIOTIK® starter food helps reduce the risk of allergy to milk protein, similar to breastfed infants. It also contains LCP (omega-3 and -6) fatty acids. These fatty acids are very important in the first months of life, as they cannot yet be sufficiently produced by the babies themselves.
The formula contains as well a unique combination of natural lactic acid cultures, originally obtained from breast milk. Other valuable ingredients include galactooligosaccharides (GOS), which have a positive effect on the intestinal flora.
Instructions for use
Exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months is ideal for your baby. Please talk to your pediatrician if you want to use an infant formula. Like breast milk, all infant milk formulas contain carbohydrates. They are an important part of your baby’s diet. This formula contains lactose as the only carbohydrate.
You can give it as needed, just like breast milk – as often and as much as your baby wants to drink. Frequent or prolonged contact of the teeth with liquids containing carbohydrates can lead to tooth decay and thus to health problems. Do not let your child use the bottle to suck on it all the time and let him drink from a cup as early as possible.
Preparation
- Boil up fresh drinking water
- Pour the water into a clean baby bottle
- Add the powder
- Close the bottle and shake vigorously several times.
- check for drinking temperature (approx. 98,6 °F / 37 °C)
Notes
Follow the instructions for use exactly during preparation. Improper preparation or storage over a longer period of time can lead to adverse health effects, e.g. due to the growth of undesirable germs. Therefore, prepare food freshly before each meal and feed immediately.
Do not reuse leftover food. Clean bottle, teat and ring thoroughly. Close the opened pouch tightly, store in a dry place at room temperature and use up within three weeks. Do not heat the food in microwave (risk of scalding).

Frequently asked questions
Does HA food reduce the risk of allergies?
If allergies occur in the family, babies in this family are also considered to be “pre-exposed to allergies”. Breast milk is the best allergy protection for babies. Mothers of allergy-prone children should breastfeed their babies fully for four to six months, if possible.
If breastfeeding is not possible or if the mother wants to supplement, HA food is a good option. The term HA stands for hypo-allergenic food. The special manufacturing process of HA milk turns the large proteins of cow’s milk into many small pieces. This can reduce the risk of developing an allergy.
How much milk does my baby need in the first months?
As a rule, your baby at this age may drink as often and as much as he or she wants. Every baby has different needs. The need can also change every day. A healthy baby knows how much food he or she needs. If your child is still hungry after the bottle offered, he or she will receive a little more.
On the other hand, leftovers can also remain in the bottle if your baby is no longer hungry. Parents usually notice very quickly with what amount and what number of bottles their baby is satisfied.
How to prepare it?
When preparing infant milk formula, you should always follow the package instructions exactly. For the nutrient supply and digestibility of the food, it is important to adhere to the specified amounts of powder and water.
Also observe the hygiene rules, because baby’s immune system still has to mature. Always prepare bottles only immediately before feeding and not in stock. Hands, the measuring spoon and all parts of the bottle must be clean and dry. Always boil the water for feeding.
What do I do if my baby does not like HIPP HA Combiotic Pre?
Most babies like this formula very much. However, if it is not to your baby’s taste, you can try Holle Stage Pre Organic (Bio) Infant Formula, for example. The important thing is that your baby is satisfied.
What would be a good follow-on formula?
As a follow-on formula we recommend HIPP HA Combiotic Stage 1 Infant Milk. This formula contains additional gluten-free, easily digestible starch. The small amount of starch makes the food more creamy.
