Important: Powdered formula is not sterile. Always follow the instructions on the current package and never change the water-to-powder ratio. For infants younger than 2 months, premature infants, or babies with a weakened immune system, ask your pediatrician about enhanced precautions; CDC guidance may call for mixing with water at approximately 158°F (70°C). Cool the prepared bottle to feeding temperature and test it before serving.
