HIPP Comfort Formula relieves flatulence, lactose-related 3-month colic and constipation in infants. Newborn digestive systems are immature, which can be manifested by flatulence, colic and constipation and is often associated with crying. What is so special about HIPP Comfort Formula?

HiPP Comfort Formula contains easily digestible lactose. Since some babies do not tolerate lactose well, the lactose content is significantly lower than in conventional milk foods. By breaking down protein, Comfort special nutrition also contains only small protein building blocks, which the body perceives as less foreign and can digest more easily.

Particularly easily digestible fat, whose structure is similar to the fatty acids in breast milk, rounds off the active complex of HiPP Comfort Formula. Please use HiPP AR Special Food only after consulting your pediatrician.

Instructions for use

Breastfeeding is best for your baby. Please talk to your pediatrician if you want to use a special food. Please use special foods only under medical supervision and only for as long as necessary to relieve symptoms. HIPP Comfort Formula is not suitable for babies at risk of allergies.

Do not use this formula if your child has an existing cow milk protein allergy (CMPA) or is suspected of having one. With this formula, your baby should feel more comfortable after a few days. If the symptoms do not improve, please consult your pediatrician again.

Preparation

• Boil up fresh drinking water
• Let the water cool to approx. 122 °F / 50 °C
• Pour the water into a clean baby bottle
• Add the powder
• Close bottle and shake well
• Check for drinking temperature (approx. 98,6 °F / 37 °C)

Notes

Follow the instructions for use exactly during preparation. Improper preparation or storage over a longer period of time can lead to adverse health effects, e.g. due to the growth of germs. Therefore, prepare food freshly before each meal and feed immediately.

Do not reuse any left over food. Clean bottle, teat and ring. Close the opened pouch tightly, store in a dry place at room temperature and use up within three weeks. Do not heat the food in microwave (risk of scalding).

The main ingredients are Lactose, maltodextrin, and vegetable oils (palm oil from sustainable cultivation, rapeseed oil, sunflower oil).

Is a special diet useful for flatulence and constipation?

Problems such as flatulence, colic or constipation are not uncommon. Experience has shown that the symptoms can be alleviated by being very close to your baby, taking it easy during the day and massaging the abdomen. Most of the time, these digestive problems go away on their own.

In the case of constipation, you should pay particular attention to the correct dosage of powder. If your baby suffers increasingly from indigestion coupled with strong crying, a special food can help to alleviate the discomfort.

Due to its special composition, HiPP Comfort special food regulates digestion and loosens stool. It can therefore help with flatulence and constipation. Please always consult your pediatrician first before feeding a special food.

Can I combine Hipp Comfort Formula with other HiPP infant formulas?

In principle, it is possible to feed HiPP special foods – such as Comfort or Anti-Reflux – together with HiPP infant foods. Your pediatrician can decide whether this makes sense in individual cases.

How much milk does my baby need in the first months?

As a rule, your baby at this age may drink as often and as much as he or she wants. The food can be breast milk as well as an initial formula (Pre or 1).

Each baby has different needs, which can also change on a daily basis. A healthy baby knows how much food he or she needs.

If your child is not yet full after the bottle offered, a little more is offered – on the other hand, leftovers can also remain in the bottle when your baby is full. You will notice yourself very quickly with which amount and which number of bottles your baby is satisfied.
